Wake up with fabulous morning hair. This can happen if you take the time to do a few simple things before your head hits the pillow for the night.
How many times have you spent the evening washing and creating a beautiful bouncy blow dry on your hair? Or given yourself a treat and had a professional blow out in the evening ready for that special early morning appointment.
Only to find that when you wake up and walk to the bathroom the mirror tells you it was all a waste of time. You look in disbelief what’s happened to all the curls and bounce from last night. Your hair looks all flat and disheveled. The little voice in your head screams “what a fiasco why did I waste my time”.
As I mentioned before you can have fabulous morning hair and I am going to help you achieve this. By going to go through a few simple steps that you can take before you hit the sheets for the night.
But first a very important pointer to having great hair in the morning.
Where Do You Lay Your Head?
Where do you lay your head? On a pillow what a stupid question you are thinking.
Well it’s what covers the pillow that can be of help to you having great hair in the morning.
To wake up with fabulous morning hair think more in terms of a silk pillow case. Silk is a very smooth fabric and by sleeping on a silk pillow case you will find that your hair will not get tangled up.
Cotton fabric is smooth but nowhere as smooth as silk. When you toss and turn in your sleep the roughness creates friction between your hair and the surface of the cotton pillow. This will tend to open up the cuticle and wreck that great blow dry from the night before.
How To Wake Up With Great Beach Waves.
For a beach wave look in the morning braid your dry hair before going to bed. This can be great if you want a change from that straight long hair look. But an important point to remember the tighter that you braid your hair the tighter the wave will look.
Think of creating a smooth crown waved look. If you happen to have fine hair work by sectioning your hair down the middle. Before creating one plait each side starting from your ear level.
For thick or curly hair. Stretch out the wave with loosely woven plait down the back of your head.
Make sure you use a scrunchie or an Invisibobble to hold the hair ends. Stay away from any tight elastics. These will tend to cause a demarcation line in your hair.
Have fabulous morning hair by undoing the braids and running through with your fingers before spraying on a texture spray for finish.
Fabulous Morning Hair Keep That Bounce In Your Blow Dry.
There is nothing worse than investing in a professional blow dry with your favorite hairstylist. Or spending your time blow drying your hair to perfection.
Then go to bed only to wake up in the morning wondering whatever happened to my hair.
To help keep the bounce in your hair when you wake up in the morning. I would suggest taking the top section of your hair and roll in three or four Velcro curlers. Creating your own Mohawk look. Finally a quick spray of the curlers with your favorite hairspray before hitting the pillow.
In the morning all that is needed is to take the rollers out and a minute or so to brush through your hair.
Keeping That Silky Smooth Blowout.
So you have blown dry your hair to a nice silky straight look. But come the morning you get up to all bends in your hair.
One way to overcome this and have fabulous morning hair is to tie your hair into a ponytail at the nape of your neck. Then wrap silk ribbon all around and down the length of the ponytail securing it at the end.
That way if you have a rough night tossing and turning there will be no friction as your hair is touching a smooth surface.
In the morning unwrap your hair and brush through adding a touch of hair oil for shine.
Wake Up With Great Natural Curls.
If your hair is naturally curly you will be aware that moisture is very important when it comes to keeping your curls nice and springy.
Look at applying a small amount of hair oil before going to sleep especially if you are sleeping in an air conditioned room.
Think of applying the hair oil from the mid lengths to the ends of your hair. Then if you are still sleeping on a cotton pillow case wrap it in a silk scarf.
This will stop your hair from going frizzy when you sleep.
