Well the Golden Globe Awards 2016 have been and gone and I am sure you must have seen some of the red carpet hair looks from that day.
Sometimes you want a red carpet hair look for a glamorous ball or event you may be attending or maybe you even fancy just going glam with your hair for a night out on the town. So I decided to take four Golden Globe red carpet looks and explain how you would go about achieving them.
As the longish version of the bob which is fashionably now a days called The Lob is very popular at the moment I have used two of these looks in my how – to’s and as with all hairstyles that look simple and come across as casual there is a bit more to achieving the look than meets the eye.
The Red Carpet Hair Of Jennifer Lopez.
The look of a simple textured and flipped Lob on Jennifer Lopez has a classic Hollywood feel.
How You Can Achieve This Look.
Firstly wash your hair towel dry and apply a volumizing spray then blast dry the hair till about seventy percent dry. Put in your low parting and divide the hair up into four sections two in the front and two in the back.
Start at the front and blow dry with a large round brush making sure that you lift the hair at the roots so that it won’t look flat to the head when you finish.
Heat up your hot rollers and using the medium size take sections and wind your hair away from your face so as to achieve a soft rippled wave. Once the curlers have cooled down brush through with a bristle brush and spray with some hairspray to hold the look as you hit the town.
The Red Carpet Look Of Lady Gaga.
Well it looks as if Lady Gaga is keeping to her glamorous retro sassy Marilyn Monroe look.
How You Can Achieve This Look.
After washing your hair spray a volumizer onto the root area and then blow dry your hair using a medium size round brush lifting from the roots as you go so producing some height.
Heat up your medium sized curling tongs and curl the hair section by section away from the face. After you have completed each curl section put in a medium sized velcro curler and allow the hair to cool around these as you work through all the hair.
Brush your hair out with a bristle brush placing the hair with the fingers as you go and then spray the waves and curls in place. But not too much hair spray as you want to achieve a soft bouncy look when you walk out and definitely not a stiff solid feel.
The Red Carpet Hair Of Eva Green.
The long modern Lob of French actress Eve Green has a low parted deconstructed tasseled look.
How you can achieve this look.
Firstly spray a volumizer onto the hair when it is wet so as to create bounce and volume then put your head upside down and blow dry your hair using your fingers so creating volume.
Then sweep your hair into a low parting and use a small round brush so as to create maximum lift at the roots on the top of your head.
Use your curling tongs to create curls and pin them in place if you find it easier use hair rollers instead once cooled brush through for the loose relaxed look. A quick hairspray and you look great.
The Red Carpet Bumpit Of Kate Perry.
Kate Perry did catch the eye with this vintage rock and roll look. The question is will the bumpit be all the rage again this year?
How You Can Achieve This Look.
After towel drying your hair spray on a volumizer and blow dry before using a medium size curling tong all over the hair so as to produce movement.
At the crown of your head or slightly higher if you have a low crown comb your hair forward and then fix the bumpit onto your head with grips (if your lack a bump it you can always back comb the hair instead) Take the hair that you combed forward from the top of the head and slightly back comb the underneath before smoothing and placing over the bumpit this will then produce your height.
Lastly add a small amount of gloss serum to your hands and separate the remaining hair with your fingers to create a natural broken look before applying some hairspray for the night out.
