I loved the hair art at the Met Gala this year from a lot of the dressed hair looks down to the great looking cuts. Now I know everyone has their preference but for me the heads of hair were streaks above those worn at the Oscars this year. In fact I thought they were so run of the mill that I didn’t even bother to write a post on them.
Maybe the Met Gala theme of Fashion and Technology brought out the best in hairstylists at this year’s Metropolitan Museum of Arts by giving them the licence to be more creative. Such interesting looks paraded the red carpet from sculptured space looks down to silver 20’s finger waves that really shone along with the designer outfits that were being worn.
There were the usual Hollywood glam looks of the wet look hair combed off the face and the old Hollywood soft waved look which I notice Lady Gaga moved away from for this event. The Met Gala is fashions big crazy night and it always has a way of bringing you something rather unusual, which is I love.

The Best Hair Accessory At The Met Gala.
The queen of the night at the Met Gala has to go to Kate Bosworth the hairstyle was simple so as not to distract peoples eyes away from the over the top encrusted jewel piece that was designed by Dolce & Gabbana. Wow did it shimmer.
Madonna.
The Hippy At The Gala.
The braid worn by Madonna had that distinct hippy feel of the 60’s about it especially so with the pendant dangling on the forehead. Nice looking and interesting braids at the back of the hairstyle although I am not sure whether the hairstyle got the appreciation it deserved at the Met Gala as the bare bottom may have garnered more attention.
Katy Perry.

Wow I loved this. The futuristic look of the strong blue black hair color combined with that over the top beehive look worn by Katy Perry went great with the outfit designed by Prada.
Lupita Nyong’o.

Lupita Nyong’o looked like she could have just stepped out of a Star Wars movie set. The hair was a nicely shaped pom pom looking sculpture a lot of work went into this. Not the sort of look you would wear to the ball but a style which definitely grabbed your attention.
Ciara
Futuristic Flapper.
Ciara looked absolutely fabulous in her trendy silver grey colored hair which really fitted the technology theme to a tee. Add to that the finger wave look of the roaring 20’s and behold the futuristic finger waved flapper style.
Kylie Jenner.
The Bob Of The Met Gala.
Well it was a wig but what a great look on Kylie Jenner. A great looking shape very reminiscent of the 90’s looking Bob. A strong and sophisticated style that really suited her.
